Urban Decay Super-Saturated High Gloss Lip Color ($19 for 0.32oz) is supposed to be the brand’s creamiest, most sumptuously pigmented lip pencil. As of now, this product is exclusive to Sephora. I couldn’t resist but to pick up one of the newer colors, Lovechild.
It looks to be the perfect pretty pale pink shade that I always seem to fall for. This formula is indeed creamy, moisturizing and surprisingly opaque for a lip pencil. It definitely does what it claims to be, “high-impact color of your favorite lipstick and an arresting high-gloss finish.” For me, it’s a 2-in-1, lipstick + lipgloss in one simple step; and lasts about 2-3 hours. I love that this formula is free of mineral oil and paraffin, and contains nourishing ingredients for your lips, which is always a plus.

There are currently seven shades available. The five originally-launched shades being: Adrenaline (bright fuchsia sparkle), Big Bang (bright pink with sparkle), Crush (hot pink), Fbomb (bright red cream), and Punch Drunk (bright orange cream); and the two newer shades being: Apocalypse (deep plum) and Lovechild (the one I picked up). These are definitely bright lip colors that demands attention. If you prefer a softer look, you can easily dab your lips after putting on the lip color for a stain-like effect. What I also love is the barrels of the pencils itself are color-matched to the individual shade, making it easy for you to grab the one you want. The only thing I'm not quite fond of is that I have to sharpen it. I would've much preferred if these were twist-ups, eliminating the need for a sharpener and waste of product when sharpening. However, this is not going to turn me away from such an amazing lip product. It’s a must-have in my book, and I already plan on picking up a few more colors!
